SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- JetBlue Airways said Thursday it will suspend its service from Sacramento to New York's John F. Kennedy International this winter due to fuel costs. The company said the suspension will last during the offseason, from Jan. 5 to sometime in May.JetBlue said fuel costs are too high to sustain the routes, as there's not much demand for Sacramento to New York flights during those months.
Spokesman Sebastian White said travelers can still fly to New York from Sacramento on JetBlue by stopping in Long Beach, Calif."We're still flying twice a day to Long Beach, where customers can connect to cities across the country including New York," White said.
