ASUS has a new ruggedized notebook
PC for those who work on the road or in the field in tough environments.
As you would expect, the durable ASUS B51 notebook is built to endure harsh treatment, and it can withstand drops, shocks, spills and scratches. The ASUS B51 and its LCD screen has a high strength protective film to shield the notebook from scratches, and it has also been drop tested to military specifications, so apparently you don't have to worry if you drop it from a tabletop or a
height of up to 75 cm.
The ASUS B51 Ruggedized Notebook is made of lightweight yet strong magnesium alloy chassis that protects the notebook's components, and it's buffered against shock by rubber bumpers along its edges. If you're still not convinced about theB51, check this out. To help weather the occasional shocks and spills (up to 120cc) the hard drive is floated on a sponge protection system, while the keyboard has a drainage path integrated into its design.
