Error Adding data

Hi I have this problem and Honestly I don't find error in the connection by when I try this is a browser it doesn't work, and it shows an error i don't get.

I have A database called "abc", a table called "1" , I have 5 rows in this table
"a,b,c,d,e"

Image problems - please help

I�m hoping someone will be able to help, and am hoping it�ll just be something simple I�m missing�I�m very new to web design and am currently working on a site in my (limited) spare time. I�ve only gotten so far as having a couple of temporary pages uploaded stating that the site is under construction.

Trouble is, on one of the pages, there is supposed to be an image in the top left-hand corner. This image displays absolutely fine when the site is previewed in Dreamweaver (8), but just will not show when viewing over the web.

I�m using layers and am working with the design view in Dreamweaver, rather than code, so am assuming that the code will be correct as it is written by the software. The image is a background image, with the code - background-image: url(images/Logo%20-%20cropped%2030%25%20opacity.png); This URL seems fine, as it opens the correct file in Fireworks.

I�ve tried editing the code

Again, this works fine in Dreamweaver but not in the real world.

I read somewhere that there may be a permissions problem, and that this can be changed in the FTP but, being a novice, I got lost at �permissions�. I�m using a company called �JustHost� to host the site. I can�t seem to find my files in the FTP part, or anywhere, in the control panel. Is this because I used Dreamweaver to upload them directly, or would that not make a difference?

If anyone can help it would be appreciated, because I�m very close to going insane!

Adding columns to page

I've now got almost everything how i want on my site but i'm considering putting some sort of background image where the white is or should i just leave it the way it is.

Also thinking of putting a column either side to fill up the white space, in these columns i can then add adverts for various companies. Is this going to be easy to do and if it is how do i go about it. If anyone knows of any site laid out similar to what i've suggested a link would be appreciated.

The SELECT statement is constructed of clauses that let you look at data in a relational database. These clauses let you select columns and rows from one or more database tables or views, specify one or more conditions, order and summarize the data, and put the selected data in a temporary table.

This chapter shows how to use five SELECT statement clauses. You must include these clauses in a SELECT statement in the following order:

1. Projection clause
2. FROM clause
3. WHERE clause
4. ORDER BY clause
5. INTO TEMP clause

Only the Projection and FROM clauses are required. These two clauses form the basis for every database query because they specify the tables and columns to be retrieved. Use one or more of the other clauses from the following list:

* Add a WHERE clause to select specific rows or create a join condition.
* Add an ORDER BY clause to change the order in which data is produced.
* Add an INTO TEMP clause to save the results as a table for further queries.

Two additional SELECT statement clauses, GROUP BY and HAVING, let you perform more complex data retrieval. They are introduced in Composing Advanced SELECT Statements.

mysterious code in my page source

Hi,
I have two computers, both trying to access the same web site - http://askauntiejane.com - One works just fine, the other gives me a 406 error code and says 'not acceptable' . So I looked at the Page Source under Views and compared them on both machines - The one that accesses the page has simply the html code that I see on Front Page code view, BUT the computer that WON'T access the page has this code under the Page Source View - - -

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

The computer that DOES access the page has nothing before the tag.

So how this this gibberish get into my computer and added to this web page only on this computer???? Is this spyware? Malicious code? I never even heard of w3c Systems before - I can see this code on View - Page Source - but cannot remove it??
