Classic start Menu on Windows 7

In Windows 7, there is no option to switch over to Classic start menu or Windows 95/98 style menu. But, still if you miss that feature then you can get back to classic style.

It is within the logical design of the new superbar that developments such as integrated search make more sense for an application launcher if we use more than 5 programs. However there is who does not think so and wants to give the possibility to use the classic menu in Windows 7, either because they are used or some other obscure reason.

You have two options one is paid and and another free download.

Classic Start Menu (CSMenu) is the program that implements this menu practically modeled the previous Windows. It opens like a normal program, so we can add the launcher to the new superbar to take both the new menu as this menu is classic at once. The forum has been created where you have recorded a video for you to view your installation, since it is not too intuitive, and requires several additional steps.

If you really want the classic menu and do not want to go through all the steps above, there is another solution that integrates best, is a more faithful reproduction and a normal installer: Seven Classic Start. The problem is that costs 25 USD, which seems a little robbery for what it does.

Still, I would recommend to prefer the default start menu of Windows 7 which is undoubtedly best and just a press of key away.

Add and Verify Blogger Blog to Webmasters Tools

Login to Blogger Dashboard.
At the end of the page, under Tools and Resources box – Click on Webmaster Tools.
If asked, enter username and password again to Login.

Twitter and Flickr are the major players in their own field. But, We used services like TwitPic to share photos on Twitter as it was not possible to tweet flickr photos directly. Now, Flickr adds support for Twitter officially.

If you have photos on Flickr account which are to be share on twitter then you will need to authorize Twitter account from Flickr to tweet it at the same time using the exclusive short URL Flic.kr ! It is not very similar to Twitpic where you use Twitter username and password to sign in and share.

After authorizing the Twitter account, users will get a ‘Blog This‘ Button that will post photo with a custom twitter update from Flickr account itself. For more details on Twittering the Flickr photos, refer official blog post.

Flickr account holders can share their images in Twitter directly using custom Flic.kr URL. Images or videos can be also shared via Mobile by sending it to a custom 2Twitter email address. This has been one of the much demanded features of Flickr users addicted to Twitter.

Uninstall Windows Media Player 12

Upgraded to Windows 7, but don’t like the Windows Media player 12 / WMP 12 which is present by default. If you fall in these category of people then uninstall WMP 12 and use the earlier version you like.

Follow the tutorial step by step to remove WMP 12 and downgrade / replace with Windows media player 11.

1. Download Windows Media Player 11 Installer for Windows 7

2. Now Type services.msc on windows 7 search bar

3. Stop Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.

4. Take Ownership of following files

All files in “Program Files\Windows Media Player\” folder
All files starting with “wmp” in System32 folder
wmploc.dll.mui in “Sytem32\en-us\” folder

5. Now Run Windows Media Player 11 Installer

6. Now type Regedit on Start Menu Search bar

7. Delete following Registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\Installed Versions

(Don’t forget to take Backup of Registry before modifying registry /editing/deleting any registry key)

8. Finally, go to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player, right click wmplayer.exe and in the details tab copy the “Product Version” (eg in my pc it’s 11.0.6000.6324). Then open regedit again, open “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\PlayerUpgrade\PlayerVersion”, and replace the value with the one you copied before, but where you see dots, replace them with commas.

Personally, I removed WMP 12 before of tagging problem and its executing speed. So, I searched for procedure and compiled from the search results. Thanks Sandip.
