[...] Last week I made a rice dish that utilized almost every vegetable that we got. I got the idea in part from the weekly newsletter (pdf) and their featured recipe a veggie stir-fry. It was delicious. The Amaranth changed the color of the rice to a slight purple. In the rice you could taste some of the different flavors. This is not a complete waste of veggies, but is something we are thinking about.
hi there. I'm the one who spoke on Lamentations. My reading (primarily from a commentary by Walter C. Kaiser http://www.amazon.com/Biblical-Approach-Personal-Suffering/dp/1592443656) said that the point of the changes is to create a sense of crescendo and decrescendo. Chapters 1 and 2 are identical in their structure. Chapter 3 is the most intense use indicating the crescendo of the book. Chapter 4 moves back down to the level of 1 and 2. Chapter 5 is the fading echo (still 22 verses, but not using the 22 letters).
Hope that helps.

I honestly have no clue. I'm not a scholar, but I'll see if my pastor has any thoughts from his research.

Thanks for your post about the acrostics in the book of Lamentations. Do you have any suggestions why chapter 5 is not an acrostic, even though it has 22 verses?

Yukina Savoy is an Asian leafy green similar to tatsoi. 'Savoy' usually refers to a curly-leafed variety, as opposed to a flat-leafed variety (e.g. savoy spinach vs. flat-leaf spinach). I've never actually eaten yukina savoy, but I imagine you braize it like you would the saute mix or mix it in small quantities to spice up a lettuce salad. Enjoy all that good Harmony Valley produce!
