4 states available for you to choose :

1. sleep : machine will go to sleep only (saves state in RAM only, battery keeps RAM contents)
2. sleep & hibernate : machine sleeps and hibernates. (default)
3. hibernate only : machine will go to hibernate only. (saves state on disk, battery will not be used)
4. smartsleep : lets your macbook (pro) just sleep while the battery has a high level. If the battery level drops below a certain point ( default is less then 20% or 20 minutes ) it will switch to sleep and hibernate.

2. Open Directory Utility.
3. Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
4. Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
5. Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
6. Enter the root password you wish to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then click OK.

… And you can test it. Open terminal, type “su -“. Then, type the password you defined in the steps above and walla! you’re now “root”, the master of your machine.

2. Make sure your huawei not connected with your machine. Install driver MacDriver(2.7)-intel.pkg

3. Plug-in your huawei USB.

4. Go to “System Preferences / Network / Location / Edit Locations” and add a new location named “HSDPA” for example.

5. Select Huawei Mobile. Add new configuration, example “Celcom”.

6. Click “Advanced”. Choose Other, and then Huawei Mobile Connect as a modem. Verify that “Error Correction” is checked, and verify that the dial mode is on “Ignore dial when dialing”. Click on the PPR tab, choose the settings “Config” and make sure that “Send PPP echopackets” is unchecked.

7. And you’re ready to connect to your celcom broadband. Walla!

I am now in Kota Kinabalu. Last saturday I was in Johor Bahru, attended #barcampjb. And it was aaaawesome. These are some photos I took during the event.

This is one of the advantages of “unconference” concept. It is quite a much flexible and free structured where anybody can announce his session on the notice board. The speakers are free to choose the subject of their expertise to speak on. Thanks for those who attended our session.

1. You’ll need subversion client and mono c# compiler. In terminal, type
sudo apt-get install subversion mono-gmcs

2. Addin’s folder & checkout tomboy2googlenotebook source code
cd ~/.tomboy/addins
svn checkout http://tomboy2googlenotebook.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ .

3. Go to your google notebook. Clicking on Sharing Options at the top right, and selecting “Yes” to “Publish this Notebook”. Look for a 20 digit number in your URL. That’s your user id. Memorize it or copy and paste it somewhere.

4. Create a gconf file
sudo touch /apps/tomboy/google_notebook_<your_user_id>

5. Run make
make

6. And you’re almost done.
sudo cp GoogleNoteBookSync.dll /usr/lib/tomboy/addins

7. Restart tomboy, activate Google Notebook addins. And yeah! You can now sync you google notebook with tomboy with “Tools > Sync With Google Notebook”.
