While, we eagerly awaiting verdict of Sujatha’s mysterious death we missed to hear from very important witnesses.

1. Former Sentul OCPD ACP Kumaran handles the case initially. He surely has his own findings that could be very much beneficial to the coroner.  One noteable factor here is that ACP Kumaran involved into the investigation personally and they commenced investigation only after my initial police report.  He was subsequently replaced after some accusation aroused on possible linkage within him and MIC leaders.

Why Deputy Public Prosecutor failed to summon him to the inquest further reinforce doubt of foul play?

2. Police says they found Diaries and photos of Maika CEO Vell and his Wife.  The Inquest was told that Sujatha had visited Vell’s residence when his Wife around. Then, why his Wife wasn’t called upon to testify at the inquest? Don’t Police smell any possibilities’ of selfishness that could lead  planned murder.

3. Paraquat Seller: as we know paraquat a controlled Weed killer, thus those purchase it need to record their particulars . Don’t the sellers have any record of it?  How the paraquat liquid transfer itself from its original container to Cough Syrup bottle?

Why Sujatha’s brother purchase Paraquat when in fact they live in very manned Apartment?  Does he conspire with someone to kill his own sister, if so with whom he conspired with?

Paraquat had very stint smell even a cow would turn away? How and why Sujatha could drink the weed killer?  A question even IO cann’t answers as reported in local dailies. So, there is reasonable doubt to believe, might not consumed voluntarily?

4. Sujatha’s fellow artist : None of Sujatha’s  fellow artist been called to testifies at the Inquest. Probably She could had discussed her personal matters with some close artist or she could contacted them prior consuming the weed killer

5. Security Guards : Security Guards where Sujatha live could have recorded whom visited her prior she consume (alleged) paraquat. They might have noticed some irregularities before and after the event.

6. Neighbours living next to her apartment too could have noticed some irregularities. Why, no one been called upon?

There are few more individuals which I believe could have assisted the Coroner in making his verdict that been neglected systematically by office of Deputy Public Prosecutor?  Why? Is it because the main suspect related to then Cabinet Minister?

While, Coroner allow main accused lawyer to question and cross examine witnesses but my counsels was prohibited.  They accused that I’m purely moving on hearsay but “No Smoke No Fire” . Just turn back and analyse no of rumors that turned up to be true.

The following points further reinforce by believe that Sujatha was murdered rather then mishap:

a.  How commercially available weed killer “paraquat” enter cough syrup bottle and finally reach Sujatha’s apartment? And how could someone drink such stint smell paraquat unknowingly?

b. The distance poisoned Sujatha was taken from Sentul to Klang General Hospital some 45 kms away?

c. She was treated by main accused cousin whom currently running multi million ringgit private medical center in Klang?

d. Some main witnesses wasn’t called to the inquest , why?

e. No postmortem report despite request from Police , even other medical test results missing or prevented from being conducted.

f. The way Maika CEO acted and conduct rituals during Sujatha’s funeral prayers and it’s him whom took entire ash to India .

g. The delay in commencing Inquest, after almost 18 months.

h.  Who bought paraquat from a Hardware shop and why a well managed condo occupant need it?

i. Brothers of death Sujatha working at MAIKA/AIMST and driving luxury cars within months?

j. Relationship between first Investigation officer with main suspect family ?

Coroner Mohd Faizi Che Abu at one point was forced to use his pen to tap the table several times to get the attention of the counsel representing Manikavasagam and Maika Holdings chief executive officer S. Vell Paari.

It came about after Vell Paari’s counsel Datuk K. Kumaraendran vehemently argued that most parts of Manikavasagam’s testimony were secondary evidence and hearsay.

He contended that the inquest should not give much weight to the MP’s evidence since the witness himself had admitted that he did not have any personal knowledge or evidence on Sujatha’s death.

This resulted in Manikavasagam’s counsel, N. Surendran, objecting to Kumaraendran’s contention, saying that Manikavasagan in fact was an interested party in the proceedings since he had lodged several police reports following two anonymous letters and three video compact discs (VCDs) regarding the case that were sent to him by unknown individuals or people who did not want their identities revealed.

When the exchange of words got out of hand, Mohd Faizi reminded Surendran of his earlier ruling that he and his co-counsel M. Manogaran were only allowed a watching brief and not questioning witnesses.

Mohd Faizi also made several rulings including that the court would not compel Manikavasagam to reveal the identity of a man who he claimed had handed over the third VCD late last year, which allegedly contained the recording of funeral rites for Sujatha where Vell Paari and his father Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu had attended.

“This inquest is mainly to find out the cause of death and this VCD in my view is not relevant to the inquest,” ruled Mohd Faizi.

The inquest was ordered following the death of the 28-year-old actress at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang on June 25, 2007, six days after her admission to allegedly drinking weed killer.

Earlier, questioned by deputy public prosecutor Geethan Ram Vincent who is assisting the coroner, Manikavasagam said he lodged a police report on July 27, 2007 after receiving two anonymous letters and two newspaper cuttings in Tamil which alleged there was foul play in the actress’ death.

He said three days before his police report, an Indian man had contacted him via handphone claiming he had already posted two letters containing information on Sujatha’s death and wanted him to pursue the matter with police.

“Even Sujatha’s mother contacted me three months after my police report asking whether a post-mortem was conducted on Sujatha’s body and when I told her there was none, she urged me to get justice for her daughter’s death,” claimed Manikavasagam.

Queried furter by Geethan whether the caller was indeed Sujatha’s mother, Manikavasagam said he was convinced it was her since the woman had called from the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) office in Ipoh and had sought the assistance of a party member, R. Jenabala.

Asked by Kumaraendran why he had insisted that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan record his statement, Manikavasagam claimed that it was because there had been no investigations over his police reports and alleged that Sentul OCPD ACP K. Kumaran tried to cover up the case.

To a final question posed by Mohd Faizi whether he wanted to say anything further to assist the inquest, Manikavasagam said even though he did not have any personal knowledge on the cause of Sujatha’s death, he still believed the actress was murdered. The inquest continues tomorrow. – Bernama

Tuan Yang Di Pertua,

Pada masa ini Kerajaan tidak bercadang untuk menaikkan jumlah minima kebankrapan daripada Rm30,000 kepada RM 50,000.  Ini disebabkan jumlah minima tersebut masih lagi sesuai pada masa ini terutamanya dalam keadaan ekonomi sekarang. Penetapan jumlah minima ini juga tidak menjejaskan kepentingan kedua-dua pihak iaitu si pemberi hutang dan peminjam di mana kepentingan mereka masih lagi dapat diimbangkan (balanced) iaitu jumlah tersebut tidak akan menafikan hak orang atau badan yang mengeluarkan pinjaman untuk menuntut hutangnya, dan juga tidak terlalu rendah untuk seseorang itu dengan mudah boleh dibankrapkan.

Pendekatan secara seimbang ini dapat memberi maanfaat bukan sahaja kepada kedua-dua pihak berkenaan tetapi juga kepada masyarakat amnya.

Baru-baru ini Jabatan Perikanan membuat keputusan menarik balik kebenaran pengunaan Jeti kepada Penduduk Sungai Lima serta Pulau Ketam. Kemungkinan besar ianya didalangi permainan politik pentabdiran Kerajaan Persekutuan untuk memperburukan imej Kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat Negeri Selangor.

Walaupun bagaimanapun, Dato Menteri Besar Selangor YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Abd Khalid Ibrahim telah memahami percaturan mereka dengan mudah. Keputusan pantas oleh MTES  amat dihargai kerana ianya menunjukkan Kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat berjiwa rakyat serta mampu memumbang segala politik kotor.

Saya berharap, Dato Menteri Besar Selangor juga dapat meneliti masalah Tanah di Kampung Perepat , Kampung Benteng serta Perkampungan Nelayan secepat mungkin supaya dapat kita menutup mulut dalang-dalang politik pentadbiran lepas walaupun mereka adalah penyebab utama wujudnya permasalahan ini.

Apabila Kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat Selangor memberi Air Percuma , mereka kata kita kehilangan pembangunan fizikal . Sebegitu juga pemberian Khairat Kematian di bawah Skim Mesra Usia Emas. Tetapi apabila mereka membiarkan pencuri-pencuri pasir berluasan serta meluluskan projek perumahaan hampir dengan kawasan padat dengan pencemaran udara tidak siapa peduli akan kerugiaan berjuta-juta wang Negeri serta kesihatan masyarakat.

Menurutnya, usaha beliau untuk bertemu dengan MB bagi memberikan gambaran sebenar tentang apa yang berlaku di kawasan Parlimennya sering menemui jalan buntu kerana beliau hanya dapat berjumpa dengan Setiausaha Politik MB, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

“Sebagai Exco yang memegang portfolio Pembangunan Tanah, seharusnya lebih prihatin dan memberikan perhatian yang lebih utama kepada masalah yang berkaitan tentang hak pemilikan tanah.

“Beliau perlu membuktikan ketelusan dalam mentadbir. Saya bukan hendak menyerang beliau tetapi MB sepatutnya sedar inilah cara permainan politik dan seharusnya beliau perlu turun padang untuk berjumpa dengan rakyat yang berhadapan dengan masalah ini,” katanya ketika dihubungi Sinar Harian, semalam.

Manikavasagam berkata, kebanyakan rakyat yang datang mengadu masalah yang berkaitan dengan isu tanah ini terdiri daripada orang Melayu.

“Saya hanya menjalankan tugas saya sebagai wakil rakyat. Malahan, saya mendapat laporan isu hak pemilikan tanah ini bukan sahaja berlaku di kawasan Parlimen saya iaitu Kampung Perepat tetapi juga di Batu Arang, Kuala Selangor, Batu Caves, Ampang dan Subang.

“Kes ini sangat serius di mana hak orang miskin telah dirampas. Beliau perlu mengambil tindakan segera supaya tidak akan berlaku penyelewengan terhadap orang yang berhak,” katanya.

Beliau berkata, Menteri Besar seharusnya menyelesaikan isu pokok terlebih dahulu kerana lambat laun masalah lain pula akan timbul seperti pencemaran alam sekitar dan sebagainya.

“Beliau adalah MB dan kuasa berada di tangannya. Mungkin beliau takut, saya pun tidak tahu kenapa..,” katanya.

Sementara itu, beliau turut mengakui yang beliau juga terpaksa berhadapan dengan beberapa kesusahan ketika berusaha untuk mengumpulkan maklumat tentang hak pemilikan tanah.

“Pelbagai alasan yang diberikan antaranya, fail hilang, tidak cukup maklumat dan sebagainya.

Dalam masa yang sama, beliau juga tidak menafikan kejayaan kerajaan PR dalam memperjuangkan hak rakyat seperti memberikan air percuma, bantuan kepada warga emas.

“Apa yang saya harapkan adalah semua kesulitan ini segera berakhir. Kita perlu segera bertindak kerana rakyat telah memilih kita sebagai wakil rakyat kerana mereka mahukan perubahan.

“Jangan sampai mereka bosan dan mengubah haluan kepada pihak yang lama,” katanya lagi.
