Dj Paulette:
MJ means more than music to me. As a black kid growing up in a white Irish area amidst racism and much negativity, MJ and the Jackson 5 meant positive associations with the skin i was in. MJ presented a positive role model that broke down the walls, smashed the stereotypes and stopped the name calling. They were up there with The Beatles, The Osmonds and The Partridge Family (they had their own cartoon series!!! Which i watched religiously) Michael stood the test of time alongside McCartney. Every and any colour kid (and later adults, recording artists, you name it) wanted to be Michael and that speaks volumes.

I have cried non stop over Jackson since news broke but have now switched off the media and am mourning by celebrating via his music. Sure there is controversy, suspicion, scandal. There are demons that will haunt and blight his charactet forever but no-pne can deny that the man made timeless, classic, ground breaking music that touched millions of lives profoundly, and that even in death and after he will continue to do that and that will NEVER change or die. Moonwalk at every opportunity that’s what i say!!

Through the joys of childhood, the uncertainty of adolescence, the responsibilities of adulthood, Michael was always there. And now the realization that he will no longer be here is hard to take.
He gave so much.

Michael Jackson has most definitely helped shape the person I am today musically. Growing up as a little white kid in suburban Long Island, New York surrounded by rock and pop music, hearing the Jackson 5 and then later the ‘Off The Wall’ and ‘Thriller’ albums and his partnership with the great Quincy Jones made a true soul/r&b dance music fan out of me. For me it was both Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder that had the strongest musical influences in my life. MJ’s music is timeless, and with his death he goes down as the only true king of pop/soul/dance music. He had the biggest impact by far on these genres of music. He even had a very strong influence on rock music as well. Many of the rock greats have a deep respect for Michael and what he’s achieved.

Regardless of what negativity surrounded him in later years the fact is this, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE HIM! He’s a true icon , a true legend and for as long as I’m on this planet, no one can ever touch him. I am truly saddened by this massive loss and will spend the rest of my life celebrating his music. May he find peace in heaven. I love Michael Jackson.

Mr. Mike
Michael Jackson was a big part of my musical life. May he now rest in peace. I am completely shatteret! Bring the curtain down on the soundtrack of my youth. R.I.P

My child hood was one dominated by Michael Jackson. I longed to dance like him, dressed like him and when I started a career in music, he was always an inspiration. It hurts to see so much negativity at this time, and regardless of anything he did, I will always love Michael Jackson.

Lucien Fort:
As Andy Ward said, also my childhood was dominated by Michael Jackson and his music too. It got me interested in audio engineering and music productions as through the Off The Wall & Thriller albums I have researched everything on Bruce Swedien and Quincy Jones. It was the blueprint for my musicmaking and it hurts to see a legendary artist leave the physical world. Michael will live on, forever and ever!

This is a heavy loss. It will take a long time to get used to the fact that he is not here anymore.

Like a generation before us who remember where they were when Elvis died – I’m sure we’ll remember this day.
If we’re really truthful – none of us expected to see him live to old age, and it’s very sad that things turned out the way they did.
My kids love Thriller and the other albums that are always playing in the car (except the cheesy later stuff! ;)) – his music will span more than these 2 generations, I just hope all the rest of it fades away.

I remember as a child, everytime i heard MJ sing or watched him on TV. I knew for sure that I wanted to be an Entertainer. He was such a great inspiration to us all, there will never be another like Michael Jackson…May he find rest for his weary soul!!

This Saturday 20th June the We Love House Crew together with Para Club have a party on a boat on Lake Neuchatel to celebrate the beginning of the summer. In the DJ booth you find Mr. Mike, our Groovenite Resident DJ Miles Numan, Satino (2uo) and Nelson de Jesus (Para Club). As a special feature there will also be dancers from the famous Sensation White parties in Amsterdam.

Start is at 20h30 in Neuchatel and you will be back from the trip at 01h30 to finish the evening at Para Club at the afterparty.
