    <title>Toy Poodle Dog Breed</title>
<description>Toy poodles are ideal city dogs for small-quarters living, and are also very suitable for those who travel a lot. They are small enough to be carried on the lap or under the arm. They require less food, exercise, housing, and preparation, and they become devoted companions. Everything about them is dainty, petite and showy. If you have children in your family, don't buy a toy poodle. A toy is fun and loves to play, but it just isn't built strong enough to stand roughhousing with kids. Sooner or later it will either get hurt, turn shy or begin to defend himself and turn nippy. Miniatures mix better with kids.

<title>The Westie's perpetual animation will frustrate, yet entertain, delight, yet vex</title>
<description>If this type of relationship doesn't appeal to you, please consider another breed. Before you buy, learn as much as possible about terriers in general and Westies in particular. Never imagine you can mold this canine personality to suit yourself; some inherited traits are stronger than human will. Neglect, boredom and lakc of human attention will ruin a nice Westie. Somewhat pugnacious around strange dogs, the Westie is generally sociable with family dogs and cats. Westies have double coat, the top of which is hard and wiry, in contrast to his soft, short undercoat.

<title>Today, Jan 20th 2009, my female dog is undergoing nasal flushing for Aspergillus fungal problem</title>
<description>Today, Jan 20th 2009, my female dog is undergoing nasal flushing for Aspergillus fungal problem. As she is 14, I am wondering whether it is fair to put her through any further treatments if this does not work. Can anyone advise me on this? I just had to give her a chance, but as we have to travel for an hour to get to the place for her to have this treatment, and it is a long anaesthetic, am I being unfair if I commit her to further treatments? It has been a very nasty disease for her which started back in October 2008, with chronic sneezing, wheezing, nose bleeds and masses of thick white mucus from the one nostril. I note in a different article that it can cause incontinence if it reaches the kidneys. As she is already on Propalin, could this be the Aspergillus, and also the wheezing too, is that her lungs? Can anyone advise me?

<title>White Swiss Shepherd (Berger Blanc Swiss)</title>
<description>The Berger Blanc Swiss is a powerful, well-muscled, medium-sized, white shepherd dog with erect ears, double coat and graceful outline. This is a lively, attentive and watchful breed that is somewhat reserved with strangers sometimes but never aggressive.

<title>We have just introduced a new long haired girl Chihuahua puppy to our two current dogs</title>
<description>We have just introduced a new long haired girl chihuahua puppy to our two current dogs. Our boy black lab is fine with her, but our boy pit bull mix is not so good. He tries to bite her and he barks and growls deeply. We have tried putting her in her kennel and letting him sniff it but he buts the kennel so it falls and we are worried she will get hurt. We are not ignoring him or favoring the new dog. Any ideas? Posted by zanyzarah on Tuesday, January 13, 2009

<title>We are desperate! We currently have 3 dogs</title>
<description>We are desperate! We currently have 3 dogs, 2 females and 1 male

We are desperate! We currently have 3 dogs, 2 females and 1 male. The male is a Husky and very energetic, where the 2 females are not and get annoyed with him. So, we got a border collie puppy. When the husky (McGraw) tried to play with the pup, one of the females attacks him. A very scary kind of attack - something she has never done before. We realize she is probably mothering the pup, but when the pup tried to play with her, she attacks the pup. It's because the pup is grabbing her ears, tail and whatever she can get a hold of to play. I know we should let the female show her dominance to the pup, but she is biting to the point the puppy screams and cries and runs away from us. We even thought her eye may have been damaged. We don't want to put the pup anywhere near the other dogs for her safety, but at the same time, we don't want to isolate her. Because of this problem, she is spending all her days in my daughter's room or in the room we fixed up for her (she won't stay in a crate - she gets hysterical).
