'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson has brushed off reports she plans to give up acting to attend university, insisting she's capable of balancing a Hollywood career with college classes. The British actress, who plays studious wizard Hermione Granger in the hit franchise, is preparing to move from London to begin her first term at an American university later this year. But Watson insists the start of her higher education in no way signals the end of her acting career. She explains, "There's been a lot of confusion in the media that university is mutually exclusive, that I can't act as well as study at the same time, and I seem to have managed it okay up to this point, so that's what I hope to continue to do. I love learning and I don't ever want to stop. It was always my dream before doing the films and I don't see why it should change". And Watson, 19, is hoping she'll be able to enjoy the last of her teens away from the glare of the media spotlight "I think I'm just looking forward to being a teenager for a bit, meeting people my own age and just kind of being normal for a bit" - Watson said.

Abhiash urged to help lovebirds

Bollywood's popular couple — Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai — has been approached by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to create awareness about the plight of lovebirds through a special photo shoot.
"As India's most famous 'lovebirds', we believe that you are uniquely suited to help bring attention to the plight of these smart and sensitive birds. We would like to arrange a photo shoot with you for a 'Love Birds in Cages' ad to raise awareness about the issue," Anuradha Sawhney, PETA India chief functionary, wrote in a letter to Abhishek and Aishwarya. Lovebirds are small members of the parrot family and the most commonly sold birds for domestic as well as display caging, which is a punishable offence under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species restricts trading in foreign birds. However, a black market involving 300 of the India's estimated 1,200 species of birds thrives openly in many places.

A cheap comment on Priyanka Chopra by a radio jockey made Shahid Kapoor lose his cool.
Dare anyone say a thing derogatory about Priyanka in front of Shahid or director Vishal Bharadwaj. The actordirector duo was promoting their film 'Kaminey' on a radio channel when the chat spun out of control. It happened that while speaking about his experience of working in the movie, Shahid said that the first half of the shoot was boring and dull because it involved only men. “But when Priyanka came in, it was a breath of fresh air. There was chatter and laughter. The mood became very light and she made work fun for everybody,” Shahid reportedly told the RJ. Hearing this, the RJ reportedly said it must have been very difficult for Priyanka “to satisfy so many men on the sets”.
This crude remark by the RJ shocked both Shahid and Vishal. They lost their cool and threatened to walk out of the show. But the radio channel folks apologised for the RJ's remark, deleted the recording, and persuaded the duo to complete the interview.
Though Shahid and Vishal completed the interview, their responses to the questions by the RJ were monosyllabic.

His death came as he was preparing to launch his comeback This Is It tour, with a 50-date residency at London's O2 Arena, starting in July.
