The Canadian rocker and the country singer are the latest pairing in the genre-mixing series that has matched Def Leppard with Taylor Swift, John Mellencamp with Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi with Sugarland and many more.

“To be on stage singing with someone I’ve looked up to musically my entire life is hard to describe. I keep thinking, did this really happen?” Aldean said in a press release about the show. “He has so many great songs, and it was truly hard to narrow them down to what we did for the show. I hope I did them justice.”

Michael Jackson died on 25th June 2009 in Los Angeles at age of 50.

Bryan Adams is getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“People have been walking all over me for years,” Adams noted by email from his home in London, England. “This honour has brought new meaning to that expression.”

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is where stars get their own star in the sidewalk at Hollywood and Vine, not the one where stars leave their hand or footprints outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. About 2,000 stars have been immortalized since the Walk of Fame was introduced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 1958.

Bryan Adams is part of a quartet of musicians who will appear on Canada Post stamps next June or July.

The stamps will be sold in books of eight, with two stamps of each artist, so there will probably be 1.5 million Bryan Adams stamps printed.

The image for the Adams stamp has not been released yet. He’s currently skiing in Europe, and wasn’t available for an interview Thursday.

But he is familiar with the Canada Post stamp program, because a photo he took of Queen Elizabeth was used on a Canadian stamp in 2003.

Nicole Lemire of Canada Post said that Canada Post “was looking for artists that really paved the way” for its Canadian Recording Artists series. “Bryan Adams has quite a few accomplishments behind his portfolio, so he was chosen.”

The stamps are presented in a round booklet that resembles a CD cover; open it up and the square stamps are inside. You can’t buy a single Adams stamp, because you have to buy the whole set, but you can get a booklet with Adams on the cover.

Almost all the people who appear on Canadian stamps are dead. Because Adams is still alive, Canada Post asked his permission to use his image on the stamp, which he gave. He does not get any money from the sale of the stamps.

Adams was born in Kingston, Ontario, and grew up in North Vancouver. He’s lived in London, England since the late 1980s, but still has a house in West Vancouver. He also owns the Warehouse Recording Studio in Gastown, where AC/DC recorded their last album. He’ll be back in British Columbia for an acoustic tour that begins in Nanaimo Feb. 8 and also hits Kelowna Feb. 9.

Bryan receives Golden Pen 2009 in Hamburg last night
Bryan received a Golden Pen Award at a Gala Event in Hamburg May 14th to recognize his internationally successful career as an artist, photographer and founder of German-based Zoo Magazine. The award was presented by art director of Liebling Magazine, Mario Lombardo.

Dado Topic hopes that Bryan Adams, Sting and Eric Clapton will join the project to help the Croatian Adriatic.

Mr. Topic says “I’ve got an idea for raising global attention to the need to protect the treasure called the Adriatic Sea.”

Mr Topic added that he initially thought up the idea for the event from ecologically-themed songs performed by Mirko Matijas, a local teacher. One of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast is the ancient city of Dubrovnik, which can be accessed by direct flights from the UK through the airliner Flybe.

The new version of CD contains new track and bonus tracks

Deluxe edition of BA’s 11th studio album features bonus tracks plus exclusive performance DVD.
