Susan Boyle has hit the recording studio and Simon Cowell has admitted that he is already thrilled with the results.

Simon told The Sun: “I’ve cut one track with her and she sounds fantastic on record – she’s so good, the album is not just going to be show tunes, we’re going to take our time with this.”

Let’s just hope it’s not ‘I Dream A Dream’, I have already heard that song one too many times!

Eoghan Quigg - X Factor 2008

X Factor singing sensation, Eoghan Quigg, is rumoured to have been dropped from his label, RMC, and bookies are already betting on who will snap up the young superstar.

Apparently the reason that RMC gave for releasing the young Dungiven man was because of poor sales of his debut album, self entitled ‘Eoghan Quigg’.

Paddy Power has also included a number of the giants in the music business as possible takers of the local X-Factor finalist.

Universal are 3/1, Warner Bros. Records are 4/1 and Syco Records/Sony BMG are 10/1, also in the running is ex Westlife band member Brian McFaddens Label BMF at 9/4, Daniel O’Donnell’s, Rosette Records further down the betting at 12/1 and at 50/1 Michael Jackson’s fathers new label is the outsider.

Patrick Tohill, spokesperson for Paddy Power’ said; ‘This news has come as quite a surprise to us all at Paddy Power because I’m sure that everyone of us bought his record over the Christmas/New Year period either as a secret addition to our own collection or as a present for a daughter or little sister.
I have no doubt that he’ll get snapped up nice and quickly by another label and get a new even better album out on the shelves in time for the Autumn.’

Paddy Power is also betting on Eoghan’s future success where he is 3/1 with the Bookie to have an Irish No.1 Albumn in 2010.

Kelly Brook has admitted that she loved her stint on Britain’s Got Talent, even though she got the sack after only six days.

Speaking to Red, she said: “So it didn’t work out. I look at it like this, I sat next to Simon Cowell. I judged a few people, it was great.

“I had a fantastic time and, yes, I would have loved to be on it more. But where one door closes, another one opens. After Britain’s Got Talent, I went on holiday to LA and got approached outside a restaurant to act in [Piranha 3D].

“If I’d still been doing Britain’s Got Talent, I wouldn’t be doing the film. You have to be positive about life.”

She added: “After Britain’s Got Talent, I wrote a letter – all my feelings about the whole thing – and then threw it away. You have to get it out and I find it really helps. It helps your brain process it.”

It seems that he’d been waxing a bit too lyrical about his views on Kris and Sophie’s relationship, despite being advised by Siavash to keep his opinions on the down low. And regrets, he has a few today… and a bit of a hangover.

“One of the reasons I’m upset” he told some of the housemates, “is Siavash gave me some damned good advice and I promptly did completely the opposite…

“The thing that I was trying to communicate was that I thought it was a bit fake at first, but now I think it’s making them both happy and I’m happy for both of them.”

Siavash then told him that he pays too much attention to Kris and Sophie but Halfwit said, “It’s not just them, it’s everyone I pay lots of attention to.”

Siavash replied that, “Noticing things is good and we all do – we all have an opinion about their relationship, but some subjects have got nothing to do with you.

“It’s just a personal thing, it’s their business.”

Halfwit nodded his agreement and Siavash added, “Don’t think about it too much man, but I’ve told you – don’t give people ammunition.”

Good advice but asking Halfwit not to think too much is like asking a tiger to stop being stripey…

Once Kris and Charlie owned up to drinking the remaining booze, aided by Karly, they told Marcus he should punch them both in the stomach by way of punishment. Marcus duly obliged leaving Kris looking a bit green but Rodrigo just wouldn’t let it lie. But to be fair, that’s because Charlie hinted that he’d been in on it when he hadn’t.

Rodrigo told Marcus, “I saw him [Charlie] on the floor, like a snake, going through your drawers.”

Charlie took exception to being called a snake and the implication that the contents of Marcus’s drawers were of any interest other than booze, so the pair got into a war of words.

Rodrigo called Charlie, “An idiot, an alcoholic, a thief” and when Charlie went off the diary room to have a moan to BB, Rodrigo told Lisa, “The crowd will boo me now. It will ruin my life.”

The rather harsh attack came during an on-air discussion about Peter Andre and Chris raised the subject of Morgan’s forthcoming interview with model Katie Price.

Chris said, “If she’s listening now, which she may well be, don’t do it.

“Just don’t go on there, because it’s going to be such a salacious interview…

“And Piers Morgan’s a slime anyway. He is, I can’t bear the guy.

“It’s just going to be cringeworthy.”

The feud between the pair began last year when Piers allegedly called Chris a “lardy boy” and claimed that Chris’s audiences were lower than his own.

The two have since engaged in a war of rather bitchy words about each other on several occasions.

Wouldn’t you think they’d just play nice? Mind you, it’s more fun this way!

Well guess what? He and Charlie did just that last night. Two faced hypocrites much? They’d go nuts if someone drank their booze! Imagine for instance what they’d have done and said if Freddie had done the same thing?

It happened last night while the rest of the housemates were in the garden; Kris and Charlie went into the bedroom and took lager and cider from Marcus’s drawer and proceeded to down the lot, helped by Karly who wandered in to see what they were doing.

After she’d drunk a full can in seconds, she told Kris and Charlie that she felt “rotten” about doing it. A bit late for that when all the booze was gone though eh?

While the three were nicking the beer, in the garden, Siavash was taking a poll to see whether everyone wanted to share the rest of the alcohol or if they should save it, not knowing that it was already gone.

Soon after, Kris told Sophie what he, Charlie and Karly had done, and she told Noirin who then told everyone else not to trust other housemates. So, given little choice, Charlie and Kris owned up to stealing and drinking the booze – and Kris helpfully said Karly had had some too – and at first, nobody seemed overly bothered and Marcus only told them not to go through his stuff again.

However, after brooding over it for a while, Noirin began to get annoyed…

We’ll see how that situation develops today!

An ‘insider’ is quoted in the paper as saying, “Simon is really keen on bringing the X Factor to America as it has been such a hit in the UK.

“And he is convinced that the yanks will love Cheryl and Louis.

“He’s made no secret of the fact that he wants to expand his TV interests around the world and this is one of the first big ideas he’s got…

“It’s early days but he hopes to get it on air next year.”

However, the chances are, Simon won’t be on the show himself. Already worth an estimated £120 million, he’s about to embark on a new “one stop entertainment company” venture with billionaire Philip Greene who made his fortune in part by running Topshop.

However, according to the paper, if Holly accepts, she’ll only get paid around half of the salary Fern received which equates to about £400,000 a year.

A This Morning insider told the paper, “ITV are seeing the change-over of presenters as a way of saving cash.

“Phil is on £750,000 but they can’t trim his wages as he is locked into a two year-deal.

“Also, taking the job would be a big step up for Holly, so £400,000 seems about right.”

And apparently the source added that the show’s producers are also “trying to save cash” in order to pay for the show’s guest experts such as Dr Chris Steele and Denise Robertson.

The paper also reports that if Holly doesn’t take up the job offer, ITV may appoint Davina McCall, Fiona Phillips or Coleen Nolan to take Fern’s place.

And why wouldn’t she be given she has such luxurious and well styled… skin on her own head.

“I’m gunna do it bit by bit” said Lisa as she gathered up Sophie’s hair.

“You have to be careful because it’s so fine” she added as she went into stylist mode, though unlike most stylists, she didn’t ask if Dogface was going on holiday this year.

“You look like Lady Gaga” said Karly as she watched from a safe distance.

“People have always said I should be a hairdresser. I’m brilliant at hair. It’s ‘cos I got a steady hand” said Lisa.

And it’s true, that’s always a good trait in someone who’s wielding scissors near your eyes. Also, it’s good for gun fights and dynamite juggling, or so I’m told.

“Right, just keep still” said Lisa as she snipped away at Sophie’s fringe and perhaps just in case Sophie decided that would be a good moment to bounce on the bed or something.

Anyway, nobody got gouged and her fringe is in a relatively straight line. Phew.
