I must be frank and truthful to you. If you do a search for Copywriters League online today, you will find that Affilicore is not the only site promoting it, there are actually quite a few other online marketing sites promoting it as well and with their own domain name catered to these products.

How I Seek To Be Different For My Copywriters League…

The product range being offered by others and from Affilicore is totally the same. Even the price is the same! But I seek to be different from the others and is that I offer two of my own researched bonuses to sweeten the deal:

My Personal Experience In Setting Up The Site

After I have gotten hands on the products and web pages sometime last week, I would say the initial experience is that:

• The products are already created,
• The sales copy are already well-written,
• The download pages are also ready…

I would just need to upload all the stuff through my FTP program and I should be up and ready to bring in the sales!

But My Other Considerations…

And I was thinking to myself, if I am doing just that (upload everything and pray for sales), I would be like most of the online marketers – taking things for granted. Will it work for me in the long run – the answer will be a definite no!

Therefore I took into consideration some other factors like:

• My first consideration was to wonder if I should lower down the price to like $27 or even down to $9.97. My conclusion and my feel were to remain the price as it is – $37. The reasons being that by lowering the price down would belittle the value of the product and also this will invite a price war (other competitors lowering the price just to bring in the business)
• My second consideration was to decide how to sweeten the whole deal since the price is as per it is. My conclusion was to throw in some additional bonuses that’s related to the current product range and to add on to the value of what you will be investing. Which I did and I am glad to say that the experience of researching and re-creating for the bonuses is tremendously good. The excitement was also on how to blend in the bonuses as part of the site.
• My third consideration was for the site safety especially download theft. I have done my part on research and have introduced changes to my .htacess page and robots.txt. I have even renamed all my download pages so as not to be easily detectable by most search engines. Will that be working for or against me? I have yet to find out! *cross finger*

It was for all these three considerations that took me nearly a week just to set up everything in proper.

My Last Round Of Confirmation Before All Systems Ready To Go

As per Friday morning, I have uploaded everything and I spent the next one hour just to test everything from the Paypal Buttons, to the Resources Page and to the links just to see that everything is linked properly. I would say till now, everything is a-okay!

So, finally, everything is good to go and it’s time to open for business.

In Summary

I have a good experience in learning how to set up a site with total personal control. Though the products and sales pages are not personally created (I believe this is still acceptable as most successful online marketers would still suggest that you outsource these), I would still say at least you have some experience in making sure everything goes well according to the standard procedure of

• Sales Page -> Product Ordering Form -> Payment Processing -> Redirect to Download Page

If you are an online marketer as well, I do feel that you should have at least a few hands-on on creating your products (affiliate, master resale rights, or personally created) for sale and learn through the sales process. If you are doing so, good luck on it!

So What Has Happened To Affilicore Over The Last 1 Month?

Frankly speaking, I was not lazing around and I am still have my full time job as a Financial Planner. More rather, I have been strategizing my future plans for Affilicore and how to move a step higher and better.

The Problems Faced For Affilicore

Affilicore.com, this domain name, is owned by my previous web hosting company as the domain name is included in free with the web hosting package (it’s a 100Mb hosting space) and over the 1 year of online existence,

• The disk space is reaching to the max (you do not have to ask me how is that possible, it just happened…)
• And somehow there have been some web issues like problems logging into account, problems with uploading and it’s slow and there are frequent downtimes – in a single word, frustration!

So with all this, I guess it’s time to move on and find a new web hosting company and at the same time gain ownership of this domain name.

My First Improvement For Affilicore – NameCheap.com

My first improvement for Affilicore is to transfer the ownership to a private name registrar.

Why do you need to get the ownership of your domain name? To put in simple terms, it is to let you call the shots with it when there’s a need to move on to new web hosting company. You just need to change the name servers or DNS, wait for 24 hours and voila, you are with a new web hosting company! Another good thing about owning your domain name is that, if one fine day, you decide to sell your domain name for a profit, you can do so with ease!

Moving on… I have an account and quite a number of other domain names (virtual real estates) with GoDaddy but due to a invalid purchasing issue over there (spyware in my system and Google Chrome having some bugs), I had a new account with NameCheap.com and the purchase went smoothly just because they have the Paypal option there.

And the domain transferring procedure took me nearly a month just to complete it. Thanks to the NameCheap Support Team for the needed updates and the assurance that everything will be smooth sailing.

So as of today, Affilicore.com is with NameCheap and I am calling the shots with it. Oh yeah!

If you are starting your first online venture or currently running one, do take this advice of owning your domain name. Get it with either GoDaddy or NameCheap though most people would recommend NameCheap but I have no issues with the two companies.

My Second Improvment For Affilicore – Vodien.com

As mentioned earlier in the post, my previous web hosting offered me 100MB of disk space which ran low over the 1 year and I decide to move on in search of a new web hosting company. Vodien.com was the first hosting company that I tried and gave up back in year 2002 when I first started my online network marketing venture.

Now in 2009, I have decided to go back to Vodien.com and this company has changed for the better. Just a few good benefits that attracted me:

• 5GB of disk space (that’s like 50 times of a 100MB) and I am paying just SGD$11 a month (and you can choose to pay SGD$8 a month if you go for the 2 years hosting package) as compared to SGD$5 a month for the previous company
• Uploading and Uptimes is near to perfection. Before WordPress is as good as now, you have to do a lot of manual upload and with the previous company, it took me 1 hour just to upgrade and after that I am drained from staring too long in front of the computer. With this new hosting company, the upgrade took me less than 10 minutes. My uptimes is up to expection as well!
• Ability to host other domain names to a single hosting account. As mentioned that I have other domain names with Godaddy and now, I have better uses with them because I am able to host these domain names under one hosting account without paying for more! If you are worried that you do not need so much disk space (like 5GB), think a step ahead and with more online ventures coming along, you are glad that you have enough space for your usage.

If you do a search online on what to look out for in a web hosting company like

• Bandwidth, data transfer and disk space
• Support PHP? cPanel? Email forwarders? Databases?
• If they’re offering 99.9% guaranteed uptime
• Online Support

I have also transferred to a new web hosting company (Vodien.com) which offers more disk space, more upload speed and allow me to host other domain names with a single hosting account – saving me time and efforts!

The content seems good and enticing (Jo Han Mok is one of the best copywriter… without a doubt as you can read how he had crafted that sales page) but comes with a heavy price tag of $749. This study program comes with an affiliate program and I was thinking of promoting this program to earn back should I have decided to invest.

Then This Thing Caught Me In A Loss…

Before any promotion of any affiliate program or internet marketing products, I would do my fair share of research into the creator and the nature of the product itself to see if it’s worth my investment and your time in exploring it.

Also reason being that if I did a bad or substandard job in promoting a certain affiliate product, you as a potential customer would definitely lose faith and trust in me! That is why there’s this particular saying, “If I do a good job, you will spread this good news to 3 people but if I do a bad job, you will spread this bad news to 3,000 people!” You see the impact?

My Research

Jo Han Mok is definitely a good marketer and copywriter. This is without a doubt. He is a successful author of the book, E-Code and many other good online marketing products like. In simple terms, most of the products that he is promoting or have created is worth your and my investment.

So from the recent email, he was promoting the works and 10 years experience of T.J Rohleder -The $100 Million Dollar Man, who is the co-founder of M.O.R.E Inc and author of many marketing books.

Interesting and successful man that he is, but when you try to google him, things are not that rosy as it is! Seems like the first few pages of the search are telling us to be careful with our dealings with him and his M.O.R.E Inc. In a simple term as well, this guy is not the real deal and a total rip-off!

Who Is Right Then – The Marketer Promoting It or The Deal Himself?

On one side, you have this successful marketer who has created and promoting a product out of the works of another marketer. The track record for this successful marketer has been good so far and is worth our trust. Literally saying, it would mean that the product he has created is worth exploring.

But on the other side, the works and systems of the marketer are being taken into account by many others who have experienced it personally. If the successful marketer has really taken wholesale from the deal himself without any filtering – at end of day when we put the teachings into practice, are we replicating the doom and attracting the bad press in the future?

So who is right then? Who can we believe in?

Our Role As A Consumer, A Marketer And Business Owner

Personally speaking, after given some thoughts, there’s really no right or wrong answer to the above issue.

As a consumer and business owner, if you trust the Marketer promoting the deal and have studied most of his other works, and you are very confident or in some sense seen results for yourself – the new deal is still very worth the investment. After all, you should have some experience and the right knowledge to decipher from the works what’s best and correct for you, your customers and for your business.

As a marketer, be it be that you have created or are promoting a new product, you have the responsibility to take ownership of whatever you are doing.

If you are creating a new product, you are responsible for the knowledge that you are sharing with others – if you are not the real deal, be prepared to be phased out. If you are promoting a new product, you have the responsibility to share what is really good for your customers – if your customers do well, you will gain all the credits and reputations in many years to come!

What Happened To Me?

In a recent marketing campaign that I have done to promote Ewen Chia’s range of internet marketing products, I have managed to close quite a big transaction (though not those amounting above $100,000 type but enough to get a new handphone) and the transaction was done through ClickBank.

Everything went well except for one particular issue – I was short-changed in my affiliate commissions! The irony and agony! And at that moment, I wanted to just give up pursuing this issue, but after calculating the loss, it’s simply too hard to miss that!

What I Did Later…

Thus started a series of emailing to the support team and some personal emails from Ewen Chia, the man himself! They have checked with ClickBank and verified that I will be entitled to the remaining commissions after the refund period (of 2 months) and provided that the Customer has not done any refund.

The Waiting Of Two Months And What Could Have Happened

This two month is neither long nor short and anything could happen in the midst of this.

Based on my personal experience with a few other affiliate programs, some internet marketers (they have long disappeared from the internet marketing scene) do not pay at all despite tracking being done to show a Sale being done. And there are simply no way to do a follow-up on that.

These successful internet marketers do pay their affiliates their commissions! For those who are very successful and not mentioned here – readers, do not worry! This only mean that I have not done up any transactions as yet. If there are any bad sheeps, I will do my part to showcase them!

Back to the Two Months Waiting Issue… The two months of waiting is finally over and it’s time to do up another series of emailing to Ewen Chia first and finally to his Support Team. Frankly speaking, at the first moment of emailing to Ewen Chia, there was no reply as all for the next 3 days. This got me worried! Will history of No Payment happen to me again?

It was till I have sent another Support Ticket to the HelpDesk did I finally get hold of Ewen Chia and the next few days are very pleasant!

The Follow-Up Is Prompt And I Got Paid!

As mentioned, Ewen Chia sent me a few personal emails to do up on the Follow-Up and I finally got paid and this additional pocket money can jolly well go into a new Handphone for myself- I was eyeing the HTC Touch Diamond 2 for quite a long while. Finally!

Who say it is not possible to make money online and to live a better lifestyle – this is all thanks to affiliate marketing! If you have not start promoting your affiliate products, it’s never too late to do so! Get started now!

How Did This Giving Back Idea Come About?

I have been following quite a number of internet and affiliate marketing blogs on my Google Reader and have created this regular habit of reading all the updated posts on a daily basis (you can say that this is a kind of addiction).

I also have this habit of sharing (thanks to this function provided by Google Reader) all the interesting and/or useful posts that can be beneficial to your online marketing efforts. This mode of sharing will then be reflected on my Google Public Page and (most recently) on my Twitter Page.

What Other Internet Marketers Are Doing

One of the ways that successful internet marketers have been using to give back to the community is through the use of Link Love – whereby you post a link to their blog on your blogroll with some anchor text and in return these internet marketers will post your blog link on their page.

How Affilicore Dares To Be Different

An anchor text on your blog roll and a text link on the internet marketers’ seem to be a one time affair. After that the love seems to be a one time issue as well. 

Therefore Affilicore will like to be totally different from the other internet marketers and have my own Post Love Exercise. Please read below for instructions:

How Is It Going To Work – Limited to First 5 Blogs (For April) & Closing Date Is End Of April

1. If you are regularly blogging on an internet or affiliate marketing niche, you are free to join in this exercise by posting a comment to this post with details to your blog.
2. If you do know your Blog Feed Address, do provide me with that detail in the comment as well.
3. A good pointer to move up the chosen chart: If you have a good one-liner to promote your blog and why I should choose you than others, put that down in your comments!
4. I will personally moderate the comments and choose the first 5 blogs (as this is my first attempt, I will try on 5 blogs). More blogs will be considered in the next few monthly exercise.
5. I will be choosing the blogs based on useful tips and techniques shared, mindset needed to succeed or that you are a creator of a useful marketing product. Basically all in all will be based on my personal judgment and your sincerity in your one-liner.
6. Once your blog is chosen, your blog will be included in my Google Reader and will be read on a daily basis. If your post is good and useful, I will be sharing it on my Google Reader Page and this will be updated on Twitter as well. This will be on a regular long term basis.

In general is a membership program is a program whereby you or your potential clients would sign up for either a monthly newsletter on the latest marketing techniques like Social Media Marketing or Viral Marketing or a 52 weeks training course on teaching a certain technique.

Comparing this $20 per month to a single sale product in the normal range of $97 to a $1997, you tend to control or grab lesser market share with the latter approach. Do you agree on that? Even if you do grab hold of a few client who bought the $97 product, when will it be the next time you get to have this kind of sale again?

If I do manage to grab hold of a client who is willing to commit a 1 year program (e.g. a $20 per month membership), my profit is easily more than that of a single sale. You get my point?

Do you have some marketing products that’s of value? A product that is already rocking the online market? A product that can easily fetch you $97 to a few thousands worth of sale? That very product will be used to be marketed and given as a Free Resource!

For example, Joel Comm gave away his updated version Adsense Secrets 4.0 free and Mike Filsaime just gave away his Butterfly Marketing 2.0 Home Study Course. These products are very valuable and these Marketers are willing to apply the Concept Of Free in exchange for your Membership.

3. Apply The Concept Of Inconvenience

People are getting busier everyday. On one hand they are trying to earn a living from a full-time day job, on the other hand, they want to learn how to make a living online.

By the time they are getting a hand on what you are offering in your subscription, they could already be in the 5th or 6th issue. And if what you are offering in your subscription is what these people are keen to know, these very people will find it inconvenience to stop the subscription!
