This week Jeffrey Rosen and Joel Stidley introduce themselves and talk about this new podcast.

News

Updated version of Exchange Server 2007 Load Generator (that Joel calls "Silverfish" instead of the actual codename of "Swordfish") download the x86 or the x64 editions.

A new version of the PowerShell 2.0 CTP was released and available here.

Installing PowerShell on Server Core is now possible and several people have done it, even if it isn't supported.

Topic 1: Jeff is UM enabled!

You can now call him at a Redmond number : (425).... :)

Receives his calls wherever his computer is plugged in

He has a USB headset and USB speakerphone

He didn't get a roundtable device but has used them.

Topic 2: Exchange Server 2007 migrations

There are a number approaches to doing Exchange 2000/2003 migrations to Exchange 2007. Some of the basic suggestions are:

Run the ExBPA Exchange 2007 Readiness Check

Suppress LinkState updates (if you have multiple Exchange 2000/2003 servers)

Install Exchange 2007/extend schema

Configure accepted domains/ change OPATH filters and recipient policies.

If you have suggestions for guests or topics please send us an email at podcast@exchangeexchange.com.
