Finally - the correct mix of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"
Michael Jackson completists will want to pick this up for the CD debut of the single version of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."

"The Essential Michael Jackson" says it includes the single version, but that title actually uses a new edit of the LP Version in an attempt to recreate the single. WRONG! The single was a slight remix, and it's making its CD debut here. (It should also be on the upcoming deluxe edition of "King of Pop.)

Now if only they'd use the right tapes for "Off the Wall" and "Human Nature," both remixed singles that used new and incorrect LP edits on "Essential."

what can you say Musically about Michael Jackson that already hasn't been said? 4 decades of top notch music that has touched people all around the world. as a Vocalist, songwriter, producer, Arranger, and a Many with a million and one concepts Michael Jackson always found a way to not only hang with the times but also lead the direction. a Mount Rushmore of a Musical Genius who put his stamp over so much over the years. all of his classic songs are here. his voice is amazing and the great Productions and instrumentations,etc... even when he didn't write or Produce on a track his presence is so large and ovrwhelming that you always know a Michael Jackson song and he makes them his own.He is One of the Greatest Forces of Music period. he is the King of Pop and the Man who broke down barriers and is still emulated to this day. His Music is timeless.

Strong Start
This is a good beginning to Michael Jackson's solo career. "I Wanna Be Where You Are" is my favorite, and after reading a concert review from the early 70s it was the audience's favorite then too. It's timeless.

His cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" is great, and as an intro he talks about missing his girl. It's very cute when you think how young he was. Then of course there's "Got to Be There" which is a good song. Overall it's one of my favorite cds.

MINDBLOWING!
I became a Michael Jackson fan just a few months ago. Yes, that's right!
This was his first ever solo album....and boy, it was a true indication of what this guy was going to achieve. The singing is FANTASTIC. Pure voice, with soul and heart! Aint No Sunshine is out of this world! I cannot believe he was just 13yrs old when he sang it.
What amazes me about Michael Jackson, and what a lot of people fail to appreciate, is how each album of his is completely different. The sound, the image, the look...everything is different with each album. He's never stuck to a "tried & tested" method and has never been afraid to experiment. Sadly, this same characteristic has earned him a lot of criticism. Someday, people will understand.

Ahhh. . .Brings Back Memories. . .
Of when Michael Jackson was brown. . .My brother's kids don't even believe it's the same Michael Jackson they see today! My Uncle got me this "album" when I was 13 years old. (The same age as Michael at the time). I played it to death. "I Wanna Be Where You Are" is a wonderful song and can still hold its own all these years later. "Rockin' Robin" is real cute - and was a big hit back in the day. His voice was clear and on "Ain't No Sunshine" he sounds very mature for his age. The entire album is good because he didn't do all those ("Hee hee hee") verbal ticks back then that he does now. I recommend this very much.

The first album I ever brought!
GOT TO BE THERE will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the very first album I ever purchased when I was a little kid...the VERY FIRST!! I was already a die-hard J-5 fan by 1971, and as hard as it was to save my allowance to buy GOT TO BE THERE, it was worth every penny! It still is.

Michael Jackson...my first crush, the first singer that really and truly moved me because he was only a few years older than I was, and this was his first solo album!! Forget what SOME people will say about OFF THE WALL being Mike's first outing away from the Jacksons (or should I say the Jackson 5, as they were still being called in 1971). Those people obviously don't know anything about the solo career MJ had on Motown; they simply group his solo work with that of his brothers - which there is nothing wrong with that, but Mike DID do solo work. So what if his brothers were singing background on those solo cuts?

Anyway, "Got To Be There" was Michael's first solo single, and his first hit. The rest of the album does not disappoint. All of the soul, passion and energy that was evident on MJ's J-5 work is present here: From the breathtaking reworking of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" to the funky remake of Bobby Day's "Rockin' Robin", to the James Taylor classic "You've Got a Friend", the young Michael displays an amazingly mature vocal style that only showcases what would come in later years for him. One should not dismiss this as just another "bubble gum" pop/soul offering from a kiddie artist, which at the time, the industry seemed to be overrun with them (i.e. Donny Osmond, Foster Sylvers, Chee Chee and Peppy, etc.). It was, and still is, appealing to adults as well. Everything on this album (CD) clicks. Anytime I want to take a trip down memory lane, I play this and remember how much I loved Michael back then.

Standouts are "Maria (You Were The Only One)", "Girl Don't Take Your Love From Me", "Wings of My Love", "In Our Small Way" and Mike's second hit, "I Wanna Be Where You Are", but like I said, everything is enjoyable on it. Michael Jackson is a legend! No matter how history may try to smear his image or what he has done to himself over his adult years, NOTHING can change the fact that he was/is a remarkable talent. He made wonderful music, influenced and inspired millions of kids over three generations. GOT TO BE THERE is where it all began. It's a true classic, a must have.

Got To Have This
Michael Jackson will remain one of the top artists of all time, no matter what. This album is proof. Little Michael soars like a dove on each and every song here. Was he really a little 13 year old kid here? Yes he was, and with those notes he hits, it's hard to believe. He sings like it's nobody's business on AIN'T NO SUNSHINE, comes through with so much emotion on I WANNA BE WHERE YOU ARE, as well as does nice covers of Supremes and James Taylor. But the title track is the winner. Michael's emoting and the lovely music make for one of the best tracks of all time. Hard-to-find CD is worth the purchase, but if all you can get is a vinyl copy, that is better than being without this.

I'd say that this is the 2nd best album that I like to listen too other than my 2 all time favorites, THILLER and OFF THE WALL

I pretty much like all the albums that MJ made, even the one called invincable that came out 2001.


Also on this album...at some remix songs like it sounds like Michael singing with techno music playing on the background....but then again some others songs a little like rap music too.

Best Selling Remix Album Ever! And I Can See Why
Michael Jackson's "Blood On The Dance Floor" album was released back in 1997 and contained 5 new songs and 8 remixes of songs from the "History" album. The 5 new songs on this album are fantastic. The first single "Blood On The Dance Floor" is fantastic! With having zero promotion it managed to hit #1 in the UK and #42 in the US. The songs "Ghosts" and "Is It Scary" are very similar to each other but are very good. The video for "Ghosts" is one the best videos I have ever seen before. The other two songs "Morphine" and "Superfly Sister" are amazing. I also do like some of the remixes on the album, the History remix is amazing and as well as the Stranger In Moscow remix. The "Blood On The Dance Floor" album became the best selling remix ever without having any promotion. The album has sold over 6 million copies worldwide and 1.2 million copies in the US. I would recommend this to you, even if your not into remixes, the 5 new songs on this album are well worth the purchase.

The should-have-been title song "Ghosts" is exactly like how it sounds in the music video, "2 Bad"---not so much. But at least it's all enjoyable.

Stunning album that was seriously underrated.
A cracking album that shot straight to No 1 in the UK and bursts with Michael's anger and vitriol. His voice is just amazing. Check out Ghosts/Is it Scary, This Time Around and the remixed Scream and see what I mean. Powerful stuff that's also incredibly energising. While I was formerly not a big fan of dance music the reworked tracks are treated in such a brilliant way that I am coverted.Pulsating. Recommended.

The greatest individual star of all times, if not at last of the last 3 decades, and a other and an other 3 to come, he is just as big as the Beatles if not bigger as he has to do it on his own.
I, along with the court of justice do believe Micheal does not have a bad bone in his body, the fact that he needs kids around him is perfectly natural, because kids are sincere, this is wat he Michael and eveyone else needs to stay in touch with reality.

The best album ever created.
In wake of his death and living in the middle of nowhere the only way many of us can honor Michael is to buy his albums. I was born in 1982 and grew up listening to Michael Jackson. It was the some of the first music that had rang through my ears and I am thankful for that. Without him the music industry would not be the same as it is today. He revolutionized modern dance and influenced most of today's music artists. There will never be another artist like him. Truly a legend among all of those who came after him. There is a reason why this album is the most sold all over the world. It's is a must have.

One of the greatest albums ever
I was DJ'ing at a beach town night club the year this album came it. It made my job incredibly easy. All I had to do was put any random track from this album on the sound system, and everyone was either mobbing the dance floor with frenetic energy, or swaying romantically to the ballads. Everyone went nuts - my preppie tourist audience, my harder-edged local types, black, white, Asian, professional, blue collar, country fans, rock fans - everybody everywhere always responded to this Michael Jackson album like nothing else I ever played. Brilliant melodies, addictive rhythms, intriguing lyrics with surprising themes, fascinating combinations, and incredible guest contributions by major mega stars like Eddie Van Halen and Paul McCartney - and only Michael Jackson could get away with that and not be overshadowed. I think part of the reason this album was such a huge hit was because of how little, I think, we all expected from Michael Jackson at the time. He had supernova'd so young in life, and had made so many absolutely outstanding hit records in the 1970's when he was - what - six years old - that I don't think anybody thought he could possibly keep it up and transition into an adult star on anything comparable to the level he had achieved at such a young age. Lightening doesn't strike twice, or so many thought. But Michael Jackson blew the roof off of all expectations. As of this writing, Wikipedia is reporting that "Thriller" is - still - in 2009 - the best selling album ever.

Brings back memories
I'm writing this on the day of Michael Jackson's Death; 6/25/09. I figured this is the best way to leave a tribute to him. This album was one of the first real music albums when I was a kid that encouraged me to leave behind kid's Disney records and the soundtrack to Star Wars. I taped a copy of Thriller from my sister's record since my parents were too cheap to buy me my own record. I remember I listened to it about a thousand times in the back of the early 80's Chevy Caprice Classic station wagon on the way to our vacations. I remember the faster songs were wild to me, especially Beat It with the Van Halen guitar solo, while the slower songs always made me drift off to sleep. This is still a great album, and what it did for me personally was break the hold of kiddie music and encourage me to start seeing what else was out there. Before long I found Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Twisted Sister (remember, this was the early-mid 80's!) and I have Michael Jackson to thank for providing the nudge I needed to begin on my way. That's what Michael Jackson and Thriller mean to me. I purposely don't listen to it very often these days, so that when I do, the memories are still powerful and I have not gotten bored with it.

A Crossover Classic
Thriller is greatest selling album of all time because it is really a fantastic record. There's nothing more to say about the music that hasn't already been said. He was a flawed human being, like we all are, but a cultural icon who did more for race relations via his art form than most who devote their lives to the political pursuit of race relations. A great entertainer. That's all he needed to be for me. Rest in peace, MJ.

Come on...you have to own this CD
I'm 23 years old and I grew up listening to Michael Jackson. Any young person who considers themselves a true fan of music (any person, really) should definitely own this CD...the review is true. Jackson's voice is at its purest on this CD...this is definitely the height of his career. People of all ages will have heard the 7 top ten singles on this CD, so there's no need to talk about those...I just want to attest to the fact that the two songs that are not singles, "Baby Be Mine" and "The Lady In My Life," are just as awesome. "Baby Be Mine" is a somewhat upbeat dance track - a sweet love track - and "The Lady In My Life" is a slow ballad tribute to a lover.

Honestly, don't even debate this. If you're on this page you already know that you need this CD.

Fun, super fast game....
not really at all like Scrabble, but a fast, find 4 letter words game. Everyone plays at once, so you have to be quick and loud! This has been sold out at the local Target's and Walmarts around me, but I ended up finding one for around at the last Target I found. Hopefully the price will come down here at Amazon soon. Picked up this one and Monopoly Deal - and everyone loved Monopoly Deal a lot more. All in all, for a 5 min game, fast and easy, this one was good! For 20 min of thoughtful fun, try Monopoly Deal!

This is a great card game. You must think fast. My grandaughter loves this game.

My older teen grandchildren and my sisters had fun playing this game. It moves along fast and so did we. Laughing.

Scrabble Slam
We searched all oer town for this product and couldn't find it anywhere in Modesto, Ca We ordered it online and received it promptly and in great condition (new). It ended up costing us aroun shipping included. When I flew out to Dallas to see my daughter, I found the same product for around . Oh well.

A reasonable card game but not great.
I have no idea why the Amazon price is so out of line with reality on this product. I bought this game at Target for less than .00.

It is fun to play and stimulates your brain somewhat, but not to the extent of the original Scrabble game. You can modify the rules and play it with younger players (we play it with our four year old).

Amazon also lists a bunch of choking hazard warnings with this product. Unless your kid can swallow a playing card there is no choking hazard that I can find.

It is worth .00 but not .00.

Great watch, one small error in the description
this is a great looking watch, seems to function correctly and accurately, and such a good deal at the price. i concur with other positive reviews about this watch. the one minor problem i found was with the product description. the watch does not house a 22mm band, but actually more like a 20mm. i didn't like the cheep-o band so got a better one online. however, the 22mm doesn't fit. i'd suggest anyone who is planning on doing the same go for 20mm, you'll be much happier and it'll look as if it belongs perfectly.

This watch only has one minor flaw!
Overall I am very happy with my purchase, I feel it's a great price for a great watch. I have had 1 minor problem with getting the date accurate. I would realistically give the item a rating of 4 1/2 stars but that's not an option. I have used this watch on a couple of 50 ft dives and definitely haven't had any problems with any of it's functions. As earlier reviews have mentioned the strap is unbearable, but I haven't had any problems with mine. This is a good watch, and I would purchase it again if necessary!

This is really a nice watch at a really affordable price. You can either use it as a casual watch or sports watch, so you cant go wrong with it. I have always had Casio watches, and I must say that I have never been disappointed by there quality, look or functionality.

What a deal!
Handsome, functional, light weight, and IN-expensive. I haven't worn a Casio ever until now, but the combination analog hands with digital display is perfect and with night illunination for under $[..]. Can't beat it with a stick. great everyday watch
I ordered this watch so I could have a nice looking, functional watch to wear everyday to work so that I didn't have to wear my really nice watches and end up scratching their metal bands. I'm very pleased with this watch. It has some great functions and isn't really big and heavy. It's very comfortable to wear all day, and even nice enough to wear as a dress watch. It receives a lot of compliments too.

Good item but scratches easily.
If you are a buyer looking to buy this watch know that when many people complain about the scratches that they aren't talking in vain. Other than that is functions well, and has all the bells and whistles I needed.

Great watch. I needed a white dial very lightweight watch and this fit the bill. Actually more than I wanted since it has great FLW graphics and even a t-square sweep hand.

Microsoft Outlook software
Purchased this for a new commputer that came without this software. I use Outlook for my Calendar and to sync with my Blackberry. Like most MS software it's over priced, however I'm used to it and could transfer my old computer data to it easily.

Have used this program for years with no problems.

Student OFFICE software
I am enjoying using the software, but wish I
knew more about the features. I know I have on-line tutorials
available, but there is simply nothing like a live person to
help.

MS Office 2007 - Home - somewhat confusing
After using MS Office for years I found 2007 version's interface somewhat confusing. I may get used to it eventually; for now though I prefer Open Office for daily work.
Saying that - for (Home edition) one gets a lot of functionality.

The product is great. I received very fast shipping. Only thing is this version of Microsoft Office takes some getting used to. It is a bit more complicated than the old version

Back to basics
Don't pay the extra expense for MS Office with your college student's new lap top. Students in college and grad school need the MS Office basics of Word, Excell, and Power Point, but they get their messaging and e-mails on-line and so they don't use Outlook. This product has 3 liscenses, so the user cost is only 1/3 of the list cost for these Office basics.
