I bought my Dell XPS M1530 shortly after Christmas, and I bought it refurbished. I paid around $1300 (after many upgrades), but ended up saving around $600 just because it was refurbished. I bought it from the refurbished section of Dell’s website. I have been very pleased with it. I know many people don’t like Windows Vista (which came on this machine), but so far I have no complaints. It runs fast and has had no major issues.

Sounds like they’re catering to the 18 and under crowd, which is always a win win…

If they are going to roll out this new lighter version, they have the desire and demographics in place to make a killing…

Of course it’s not for adults and comparing it to the original is like comparing a toddler bed to a California King…

(toddler beds are sole more)

I noticed you’re an architect–namely first year. One thing I’d stress is to keep a sketchbook. Post what you feel you want more criticism on, and keep your architecture portion of the blog updated more often than this. We can read thoughts like this all over the internet, but showcasing your own piece is what architects are RENOWNED for. Just a thought.

Look at our economy, and read a little about some of the company’s expectations for the coming quarters, and you’ll see that Apple does NOT plan on feeding our consumerist hunger pangs. Just a thought.
