Whether at work or at home, we all need a little more success in our lives. It could be that we are trying to lose an extra five pounds or get that promotion. Esoteric communities and ancient cultures have been using signs and symbols to tell the universe what they need for centuries. In an earlier post, “Orgasm Your Way to Success: Sex Magic,” I talked about creating a talisman or symbol on which to focus your energy. Here, I’m going to give you the tools necessary to create that talisman using some symbols that are very easy to draw.

The Sun

To begin, we will go with the most familiar symbol I can think of: the Sun. It revolves around the Earth, brings light to darkness, and helps plants grow. In ancient cultures (and in some today) people believed that the Sun and Moon were in a constant state of battle and that neither would win, but it was an accepted fact that the Sun was stronger than the Moon. The Sun was a masculine energy, and the Moon was feminine. The Sun brings success in business and helps you stand up for yourself, grow in your spirituality, and be more aggressive and confident. It can also help get you noticed and motivated.

Symbols for the Sun

You symbol for the Sun can be as elaborate as the one I presented here or as simple as a circle with lines coming from it. This is the more literal translation of a sun into a pictograph.

You can also use astrological symbolism to depict your Sun.

Abundance

Abundance–it’s a pretty broad term, and it covers nearly everything in this next symbol, including money, clients, and food. Grapes and apples have long been known as fruits of abundance. With such a blanket term, you’ll likely want to surround your grapes with other symbols as well. So I’ll give you a few examples.

You can also personalize it even more like so:

I placed the symbol for Gemini (my zodiac sign), the month and day of my birthday, June 13th (6 1 3), and my name inside of it. This means I want it to affect just me. You can also modify a symbol like this to affect other family members or friends (with prior permission, of course).

The Perfect Place

Now, you’re probably asking where you’re going to put all of these symbols. Here are a couple of ways to place them. You can use a piece of cardstock, take a regular-sized drinking cup, and trace a circle on the cardstock. Write out your symbols inside the circle, and then cut the circle out. Carry it in your purse, your pocket, or your shoe.

You can also write these symbols on candles. Orange is the color of success, so if you’re going to use a candle, go with that color. Take some vegetable oil and coat your ring and middle finger of the left hand, then run those fingers from the middle to the top of the candle, then from the middle to the bottom. Then take a pin or nail and carve in your symbols. Burn the candle for an hour each day until it’s all melted. While you burn it, focus your energy on what you want to happen.

Those are just a couple of the things you can do. Businesses have incorporated symbols such as these into their logos for years, knowing the spiritual power behind them. Most of these companies are now highly popular and well off, so go out and get some of that success for yourself!

Ever had an argument and can’t remember three days later what started the fight? Have you ever just brushed off something a friend or lover does that bothers you, even though the problem persists? I know I have.

I do a lot of counseling for relationships. Of course, we all know that relationships are never perfect, but I find that’s most often due to a lack of communication or a misunderstanding. Relationships–with family, friends, lovers, or anyone else–should be give-and-take. But we so often get wrapped up in what we think we hear that we don’t know how to get our points across. Other times we forget to cherish what we have, and we begin to neglect the other person or expect them to be there always.

Recognize Your Faults

To improve your communication, you need to recognize your own issues. About 90% of the time, one person or both are holding onto past baggage and holding their new mate or friend accountable for the past. We all have a tendency to play the blame game. It’s easier to blame someone other than yourself for what’s bugging you. But remember that it takes the both of you to make things work.

Recognize Your Divinity

You need to recognize that you do not deserve to have these issues in your life–you’re entitled to better. After recognizing that in yourself, you must do the same with the other person. You were not put in the relationship to argue and hold in your emotions–you’re there to have fun, learn, and enjoy. Along with being empowered by your connection to the Divine, there is also a responsibility that comes with it. Sometimes, to heal a relationship, someone needs to be the hero and put the olive branch out there. In lots of cases, that person is you.

Recognize Your Tools

Your five senses are imperative when it comes to communication. We were built to be observers and thinkers. Sometimes this is to our own detriment; our minds can overanalyze a couple of words and blow something out of proportion. Our eyes can pick up defensive body language, and our ears can tune in and out of conversations. We expect people to say exactly what they mean, but we typically only vocalize about 5% of what we are actually thinking during a conversation. The rest is displayed through body language and the eyes.

Be cognizant of the body language. A simple thing to pay attention to is the arms. If they are crossed or if someone has hands on the hips, then you know the person is in a defensive position. If the arms are down by the sides or relaxed, you know the person will absorb what you are saying.

The eyes are the next easiest thing to read. If they seem dazed, the person has zoned out. If they are looking all over the place, the brain is going a million miles a minute, and this is not the best time for a real conversation. You are looking for that person to maintain eye contact with you. Your biggest tool is your voice. Sometimes we get riled up and don’t even notice our tone has changed. You need to really be aware of how you are getting messages across to people.

Recognize Your Safe Place

In my house there is a room. This room is really special; it is a sacred space for me and my partner. There are no secrets and no barriers between us in that room. When we have arguments, we go to that safe place and let it all hang out. When we leave the room, whatever issues we had are finished. There are 10 commandments we go by in the room:

1. No yelling.
2. No interrupting.
3. No sarcasm.
4. No violence.
5. You must listen. (This means that you have to pay close attention and give the other person the respect he or she deserves.)
6. You must acknowledge what the other person is saying.
7. You must try to understand the other person’s point of view.
8. You must recognize the right to feel.
9. You must use “I” statements (for example, “I feel,” “I think,” “I hear,” “I see,” etc.).
10. You must say things out of love.

These rules have helped not just me and my spouse, but many other clients of mine, as they eliminate all escapes and barriers. The room is not a place you go to when you are angry–sometimes it’s best to wait a little bit, let things cool off, and then go there when you can say what you really mean.

Recognize When You Are Reacting

In relationships, people are often more reactive than proactive, and so they have the tendency to let their emotions and insecurities take over by carrying on a cycle of attacks when all they really want is peace. Next time you are about to boil over with anger, ask yourself what you’re reacting to. Why are you reacting to it? By reacting, how will you help? After you have answered those questions, ask yourself why the other person is attacking.

You must recognize that there are only two emotions: love and fear. When someone begins attacking out of nowhere, it is out of fear. What insecurities do they hold around the issue? What do they need from you to feel more safe and secure? As humans, we have a responsibility to support and help one another when we are in pain.

Relationships as Treasures

Love, whether it be with a friend or with a mate, is a beautiful thing, but much like the rest of our lives, it has its moments. Communication is essential in all endeavors. We are a social species. With technology getting more and more efficient, people are losing the ability to communicate effectively. Get back to real face-to-face communication with respect and honesty. Whatever you feel, put it on the table–not in an accusing way, but in a healthy way. Cherish your relationships, and see them for the blessings that they are.

During my years as a psychic consultant, I have been contacted many times to help victims of stalkers. Ninety percent of the time, the police can’t do anything because there is no proof. So they come to me, looking for the stalkers’ next moves. My heart goes out to these people, as I have been in their shoes before. Yes, I had a stalker…but I’m here to let you know that you can catch them. There is hope of surviving the ordeal and many ways to protect yourself from these individuals.

My Experience with a Stalker

My story is pretty dull in comparison to some of the ones I’ve heard. I was 19 and just developing my psychic practice, newly married and completely overjoyed with my successes. I had a client who came to me once or twice a week to ask about one of her current lovers. After a while, she was booking appointments ever other day. She lived in the same city as I did, and I would see her here and there. I didn’t think anything of it. After almost a year and a half, there was really nothing more I could tell her. I suggested we take a break and that she go ahead and see another psychic I recommended.

Three days later, I got a phone call from the psychic saying that my client had just been to visit her and that all the woman talked about was how I had rejected her. I was taken aback with that, and the other psychic told me to watch out. Two days later, I had a flat tire while driving to a client’s house for a party. It was on a dirt road, so I chalked it up to a sharp rock. I called AAA, and they said that my tire had been punctured. This scared the crap out of me.

Events Escalate

Two weeks later, I was sitting in my office and looking out my window drinking a cup of coffee. I saw her standing outside my building, looking up at my window. The next night, I saw her car outside my house. I called the cops, but by the time they came, she was gone.

I started writing down all of my experiences, the type of car she drove, and all the pertinent information I could think of. Finally, almost a week later, the police caught her parked a street down from where I lived. Although it was a terribly frightening experience, I thank her. She has taught me to become more vigilant and cautious in life.

Protecting Yourself from a Stalker

It is incredibly important to learn to protect yourself from a stalker. You must take control back in these situations. For me, it helped to document and record information. I keep my light on when I know I won’t be back until after dark so I can peer in the windows and make sure that no uninvited visitors have decided to come in. I clutch my car key with the metal end pointing out between my pointer and middle finger in case of attack. I took self-defense classes (most police stations offer this course for free for women) and bought some pepper spray which hangs on a keychain and looks like a little flashlight.

I think the scariest thing about my experience was how normal the person looked–she wasn’t someone you would think to be a stalker. It’s a mental issue, and many stalkers appear to be very common. I’m not saying be paranoid–just be prepared.

How To Deal With a Stalker

• Keep a journal of all incidents. Get as detailed as possible. Report these incidents to the police, and keep a running log of your visits, who you talked to, what action they said they would take, and what action was really taken.

• If you receive malicious calls, do not react. Place the handset off the receiver for a minute, then dial *69 to see if a phone number was recorded. Write down the time of the call and the number. If you receive harassing text messages, always keep them and show them to the police. Contact your cell-phone provider and ask for a printout of the texts.

• Avoid going out by yourself, and stay in public places with a lot of people.

• Always carry a cell phone (with police and emergency services on speed dial), beeper, and personal alarm with you (I carry a whistle).

• If you feel you are being followed, make for the nearest house or store, and ask for people there to call the police.

• If you notice a car following you or parked outside your house, always take down the make and model as well as the license plate of the car and the time and date. If you see the car multiple times either following you or parked outside your house, call the police.

• Contact the local police to have them come over and check out your house to see if there are ways you can make it safer (with locks, for example).

• Do you not let the stalker dominate your life and mind. Keep your regular life going, and try to do things you enjoy.

Remember–this is not your fault! There’s nothing wrong with you. The person is sick, and you may never know exactly why they are stalking you. Sometimes it takes just a smile to make someone feel that you are theirs. Other times, jealousy could be the root cause. The point is, the cause doesn’t matter as much as it matters that the stalking stops. Don’t allow yourself to be a victim. Be a hero, and help save others from this person. Most likely, you are not the first, and if you do not help the police do something, then you definitely will not be the last.

They get very uneasy when discussing feelings or any type of emotional aspect around a situation.

Often, our pets do things that leave us kind of perplexed. Are they trying to tell us something? Of course!

As an animal communicator, I hear the brunt of complaints that pets try to tell their humans about (yes, their humans). I have helped animals overcome trauma, deal with their behavioral issues, and more. It’s funny because most of the animals that I talk with are open to negotiation, but if you want to negotiate, you have to learn how to hear what you pet is saying.

Speak to Your Pet

Animals communicate in three different ways: telepathy, body language, and vocals. We can usually pick up on two out of three. But even with those, we can’t always get the whole picture. It’s that third part that we need to tap into. In an earlier article, “Psychic Games For Parties and Groups,” I talked about sending and receiving games. This is the same concept.

You should start with pictures. If your cat is jumping up on the couch and using it for a scratching post, try sending a picture that represents your distaste for the action. The cat might not react the first time, so you should do it again. When the cat stops and looks at you, that’s when you know he got the message. An easier way to do this is to visualize two small TVs, one on your forehead and one on your pet’s. Then try sending the image from your TV to theirs.

Now Learn to Listen

As you open yourself up to communication with your animals, they will realize they can talk back, too! You may begin to get impulses or thoughts in your head about something they need or want.

Animals that have been around other animals are most receptive, because they learn to communicate in everyday situations with friends or strangers. If you try this with a kitten, you may not get the responses you are looking for. Much like babies, kittens haven’t learned to talk yet. If a kitten is the only animal in the house, continue trying to talk to it–it’s the only way it will learn.

Next, try shouting the animal’s name in your mind. More than once when I have had clients try this, their animal will actually look at them with a confused expression. Animals can learn to adapt to human speech very quickly. Some will even pick up their humans’ habits when there are strong psychic connections.

Practice Makes Perfect

I once had a cat named Baby. She was the sweetest little thing. She was also the first animal I trained through psychic communication. Eventually I taught her how to play fetch, tag, roll, sit, and come–just through thought-speech. She also told me about whatever she needed, including when she wasn’t feeling well. She ran away one night, and I kept calling for her in my mind. I saw her at a house, and she said she would be back. I still worried, but the next day, she was at the doorstep.

So give this a try. It’s not going to happen right off the bat. But it’s fun, and there are a lot of other situations to which you can apply this communication style–not just with animals, but with people as well. It’s the power of psychic suggestion–another nifty tool to include in your arsenal.

Okay, so everything is going wrong. Your car busts, you’re arguing a lot, it just seems like bad luck is following you everywhere. Well, this may not be all your fault. The planets have a big effect on us, Mercury in particular, but Mercury is at it’s strongest influence (or most notable) is when it is in retrograde — which means the planet seems to be going backward. Okay, so I know that was a mouthful but I promise it’s important. You see, much like every other planet in astrology, Mercury goes through a sign. This time it’s Aquarius The Water Bearer. Aquarians are all about being unorthodox, creative thinkers, and introversion. So this time around, Mercury’s retrograde will be about seeking answers in yourself.

People will be more stubborn during this period, and they will also try to conform the people around them to their way of thinking. Opinions will come out (for good or bad), but right now is not the time to bring new ideas to old concepts.

Mercury in Retrograde Will Pass

Luckily, Mercury is not in retrograde forever. Much like every other planet, it’s effect is a cycle. It’s best not to make plans during this time. The usual period for a planet to be in retrograde is around a month to thirty nine days. Now, during this time you have the period when mercury stops it’s orbit (station), then goes backward (retrograde), then it seems to stop again (direct station) then it goes and reverses (return) again going back on course (this is the day that everything seem to be going okay and your world is back to the way it used to be). It may feel like during this time you have no control over the events around you. You’re right, you don’t. Enjoy it.

Mercury in retrograde actually forces us to stop for a little while. Something we should do much more of. Take advantage and closet yourself away from the world for a little while. Since mercury is in Aquarius, now is the perfect time for soul searching and figuring out what you really want in life. Don’t fret about all the things going wrong, the situations will right themselves after the retrograde is over.

I’ve been to a lot of parties, and psychic work is never a boring topic. More than once, I’ve been grilled about my background, cases I’ve worked as a paranormal investigator/medium, and more. When I inevitably come to the conclusion that we are all psychic, everyone usually balks. This is when I typically initiate the question “Why not?”

We are a social species and hard-wired to be a little bit competitive, so psychic party games are a great way to have a good time! Plus, these games are wonderful to use as icebreakers when meeting new people.

Sending and Receiving Games

These are exactly what they sound like–one person thinks of an object, person, or place, and the group tries to guess what it is.

Game: What Am I Thinking?
Pick one person to be the sender–it’s best if that person is good with creative visualization–have them think of a specific color, then have everyone else write down a color that they “see”. Give people 40 seconds to do this. Compare to see who got it right. Do it two more times, then switch to a different sender. Each color guessed right is +3 points, and each color guessed wrong is -2. The first person to reach 21 wins!

Often, couples or a family will be more intuitive with one another, and you may notice that they pick up on what the other is thinking more quickly or accurately. This is due to the bond shared between them.

You can incorporate almost anything into sending and receiving games, like animals, numbers, or household items. Assign your own point values to harder subjects.

Game: The Human Pendulum
Everyone stands in a circle and picks one person to be the pendulum. The player who is the pendulum leaves the room while the rest of the circle whispers and picks one person on whom to focus. When they are done, the pendulum will come back. Have the pendulum stand in the center of the circle and close his or her eyes. Everyone places a finger on him or her and focuses on the one person that the group picked. The pendulum will start to sway. What you are looking to achieve is to have the pendulum point to the person in the group who was picked. It happens almost every time.

Psychometry Games

“Psychometry” literally means to measure the spirit or soul of an object. It is gathering information through the touching of objects. The things around us hold memories, and the objective is to discover what those memories are!

Game: Whose Is It?
Have everyone bring one object (a piece of jewelry, a key, etc.) that no one has ever seen before. Put all the objects in a shoebox with a hole at the top. Have each person pick an object out of the box (if it’s yours, put it back in the box discreetly). Let everyone sit with their object for a moment and get a feel for it. When everyone feels they have a name to connect with the object, go ahead and let them name who they think owns that object.

In this tough economic time, people need to reduce stress and clear their minds. These fun, interactive games are always a hit! Have fun, relax, and increase your own psychic abilities and intuition!

We all know the economy is a disaster, with some even going as far as to call it a Recession. But it’s a common belief that the Universe (or higher power) can give us whatever it is that we need. We are not put on this big ball of land and water to suffer or worry. We are here to learn life’s little lessons.

In light of that, I’m going to tell you some, well, let’s call them, “enchantments”, that will help you to attract money. Not in a way that will backfire or harm anyone, but the Law of Attraction states that like is drawn to like. Some of the things you will encounter may be new to you, some are things you use everyday and never think twice about the power they hold. So put on your seat belts and let’s begin!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, everything has energy! Plants, tables, chairs, stone…it’s all made up of the same molecules and energy. Even in ancient cultures they believed that certain objects had spiritual purpose or could bring aid when needed. Now, personally, I believe that these things are just tools to help one focus their energy, but I can’t eliminate the possibility that the extra energy from these objects help. What I can say is that these are all tried and true methods of bringing what you need most and it can all be found in your home!

Bay Leaves Bring Success

Bay leaves are a great place to start. Bay has been known in pagan cultures for centuries as a monetary attractant and a success herb. So go out and get get whole bay leaves — dried is okay, but fresh is best. You are going to put one in each corner of your home or office. That simple.

Catch Customers With Honey!

Have you ever heard the phrase you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar? Did you ever think of where that belief came from? Yes it has an alternative meaning (be nice) but it also has a literal meaning. If you are running a business and customers are trickling in but not giving you the amount of income you need then grab some honey, 3 quarters and one $1 bill. Your are going to put the three quarters and dollar in the honey all the while visualizing customers at your door. When they come in they are ready to buy. See your register or client sheet filling up with names and totals. Then place the honey jar by the door customers come through.

Clean House With Vinegar

Vinegar. Okay, I know I just said that whole thing about vinegar and honey but this substance has it’s own spiritual purposes. Vinegar helps to clear negative or stale energies and will also draw people to notice your building. So wash the windows and doors with it! You will feel better and it will get rid of anything that may interrupt your enchantment.

Plant Your Successes

Do you have any potted plants laying around? Maybe a Golden Pothos (devil’s ivy), Bamboo, Wandering Jew or Ivy…even a cactus? Either way it needs to be a plant that just will not die. I live in an apartment, and let me tell you gardening is not my forte but these hard to kill willful plants are the best money maker on the market.

I’m not saying set a stand by the road and sell them, but if you already have one get ready to get your hands dirty because you’re going to repot it! When you have all the necessary materials together (plant, pot, soil), make sure to grab a dollar bill and place it into the roots or under the root ball. As the plant grows and strengthens so will your finances.

This same belief was practiced with children in ancient Celtic societies where they actually put the child’s afterbirth under the roots of a solid sturdy oak. Guaranteeing that as long as that oak lives and grows the child will be healthy.

There are so many legends, superstitions and enchantments that affect us in our daily life. Don’t walk across a crack or under a ladder…every birthday a family member has to put butter on your nose (maybe that’s just me) so the problems of the next year will slide right off…I think the essence of the whole thing is belief. If you believe or wish for something hard enough it will happen.

Sex is as old as mankind, we want it even in the most boring relationships. Couples have attained healing through sex. It’s a powerful action. And who doesn’t love the afterglow?

Everyone feels at one time or another that sex is something magical, not just in the “I love you, this was the best sex ever” sense but in the “I feel like a I could conquer anything” way. Sex magic is just as old as sex itself, many mystics and religions have believed that we are at our highest point of manifestation during the act. It’s a long held belief that you can attain anything through sexual climax — although some religious systems believe you should be brought to the point of climax but never over so that you may hold on to that energy.

What is Real Magic?

Magic is the art or science of manipulating things around you by your will alone. When you were a kid, didn’t you ever wish for something to happen so badly, or try to do a love spell and nothing happened? Not your fault, you may have been lacking the passion necessary to accomplish the goal. The oldest type of sex magic is Tantra, where two deities Shakti (feminine) and Shiva (masculine) are worshiped. Shakti and Shiva are lovers, and tantra believes that we each hold all that is needed to open the universe in us. Sex is just one of the many ways to reach it.

Tantra is more than just sexual intercourse; it’s also rituals, prayers and more. In Tantra, believers seek to tap into Prana (divine energy) that is around and inside them to bend matters to their will, much like in Western sex magic practices. Tantra has seeped into our culture but also takes part in religions such as Hinduism, Jainism, Bon and Buddhism.

Aleister Crowley’s Beliefs

Aleister Crowley, one of the most notable figures in the Pagan Revival, actually believed that the cause of violence and anger were attributed to a lack of sexual intercourse.

“The battle will rage most fiercely around the question of sex… Mankind must learn that the sexual instinct is in its true nature ennobling. The shocking evils which we all deplore are principally due to the perversion produced by suppressions. The feeling that it is shameful and the sense of sin cause concealment, which is ignoble, and internal conflict which creates distortion, neurosis, and ends in explosion. We deliberately produce an abscess, and wonder why it is full of pus, why it hurts, why it bursts in stench and corruption…” ~ From Confessions of Aleister Crowley

He spun Victorian England on it’s head with his inclusion of homosexuality and masturbation in his magical system. He believed that anything could be achieved while in a state of orgasm, that it was sacred and one of the only ways we would ever feel even a smidgeon of the power that the Divine has set at our feet. According to Crowley, you can also achieve your will through masturbation, however climax through coupling is more potent in experience and passion.

Make Your Own Sex Magic

Create a talisman, a symbol or picture on paper that you can carry on you. When you are ready for the sex act you have two options, tell your partner what you are doing or don’t. If you decide on the latter (telling your partner), then you both must be very clear on your wants and needs. You both must agree on one vision, on one symbol (the talisman) and on one feeling (success, love, whatever correlates with your goal). The male should only orgasm once and it should be prolonged, whereas multiple orgasms for the female is best. Throughout the sex act be free to do whatever will drive your passion to it’s heights, but keep that vision, symbol and feeling with you.

Crowley believed that you should then take the juices from your passion and rub them on the talisman. I have found this unnecessary (not to mention a little icky) but it’s up to you. I always place the talisman under my pillow, where the sex act is taking place. This seems to charge the talisman just the same.

I think Aleister had a point about the sex act and violence. Even today where sex is so much a part of our everyday life (t.v. commercials, paper ads, t.v. shows) we still feel restricted and stuck in a one position world. We stick to what we know is okay. Don’t be afraid to try something new and free yourselves from the bonds of society’s beliefs.

As a psychic medium, many people come to me for closure about a loved one who has passed away. They see their family and friends as separate from them, but if they only knew the truth! We crave privacy, but when you have family on the Other side, that goes right out the window! I’m not trying to say they just sit there and watch you all day, but they are always around and even in death they may try to tell you what to do!

When I first sit down with a client, a spirit comes through with their manner of death. I’m twenty three but have had the feelings of a heart attack, overdose, and the weakness and dizziness of chemo. As soon as I acknowledge the way they passed the feelings dissipate. After that initial communication, messages really begin to come through.

Spirits Speak

Spirits love to talk, and often try to speak directly to family. The first time they do this is typically within a week or two of their death — you will dream of them. I call these “letting go” dreams. I have heard numerous stories from my clients of their letting go dreams. As a matter of fact, a woman recently came to me and told me about how three days after her father’s death (he had cancer as well as some other issues) that he came to her, hugged her and said that he was alright. After that, she knew she could stop grieving. Which is exactly the point of these dreams; your loved ones want to let you know they’re okay, you don’t need to be sad anymore.

I never met my grandfather, but boy was he a character! He was the first spirit I ever saw and is around me constantly. He is constantly trying to communicate, and with spirits it’s not always verbal. With him it’s whiffs of cigar smoke and changing the channel to the Red Skeleton Show.

Some spirits are not so blatant with their talk, it depends on how long it has been since they have passed, their energy levels, etc. Their communication can be simple things. One client had her mother pass away and the mom spoke to me about how her daughter was a horrible night driver and how she would go in the car with her to make sure she was okay. The client laughed because two weeks prior she had gotten into a near accident with a truck on the highway and felt like someone else took the wheel for a moment and drove her to the shoulder of the road. Her mother, it turned out, used to drive cross country all of the time.

You hear the word guardian angel and you think of these winged human-like people, but here’s the thing, your spirits are your guardian angels. They look out and protect you, just as they did in life. I get bored in traffic very easily, and have had issues in my life. Sometimes, sitting in my car, I’ll say to my grandfather, ”Gramps, is everything going to be alright?” and a car will go by with the vanity plate BWELL or I will be thinking about him and a car will go by that say CRIKET (which was his nickname for my mother). There are so many different ways that spirits are trying to communicate! We just need to pay attention. I often ask for signs, especially when I am making a major decision, and things will happen that tell me without question which path to take. Try it! Ask a member of your family who has passed, you don’t even have to name anyone in particular.

There are No Limits With Spirits

Like I said earlier, when it comes to spirits, privacy goes right out the window. There is nothing that they don’t see. I remember one time it came out that a client of mine and her husband were trying to get pregnant and her grandmother came through talking about it. The grandmother said to have the husband get the client tipsy and then do the deed — that they were looking at sex as work. When I say nothing is off-limits, I mean nothing!

It may take a while for a spirit to begin real communication with you, especially right after death. Spirits go through what I call “processing”; they go over what happened in their life, make amends and deal with their death. So give them a couple of months before you start calling on them unless you are already seeing activity.

Sometimes spirits will appear to you, which is something certain people fear, while others want desperately just to see their loved ones again. When you are in the presence of spirit, especially family, there is no fear — just love — at least during the meeting. People tend to freak out only afterward.

Whether you want to see them or not, know that you are never alone and always protected. Family does not leave, they stay with you forever.
