Officers Issued over 100 Seatbelt Citations For Click It or Ticket It.

Over one hundred and twenty people received seatbelt tickets during the last 13 days in Clovis. The Clovis Police Department participated in a "Click It or Ticket It" campaign as part of a grant program awarded by the California Office of Traffic Safety. The zero tolerance program, designed to save lives by cracking down on those who were not wearing seatbelts, started on November 17 and ended Sunday November 30th. {mosimage}

City may block new payday loan stores for 45 days

Payday loan stores will be a hot issue tomorrow in Fresno's city council meeting, as the council is set to decide whether the city should ban new stores here for 45 days in an emergency resolution brought by District 2 Council Member Brian Calhoun. Arrested suspect shot at girlfriend's car, police say

A 21-year-old Fresno man was arrested Thursday in what police say was a weapons offense committed by a Bulldog Gang member. At about 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 20, police in southeast Fresno responded to reports of a shooting into an unoccupied vehicle. The two responding officers contacted the owner, a female, and determined that her boyfriend may be the suspect. {mosimage}
